At the Boght & Oakwood Veterinary Clinics we have assembled a management team to assist in the running of two busy practices. The team works together and deals with issues relating to clients and their pets and supports the clinics’ staff members in various ways.
Sarah Wagoner is the Practice Manager. Her main goal is to support the other members of the management team in their respective duties, offering them advice, helping develop and implement procedures and acting as a sounding board for different ideas. She is always available to answer questions and assist with issues that arise for clients, patients or clinic staff members. In the clinics on a daily basis, she in responsible for maintaining the hospital inventory of drugs and supplies. She assists Dr. Wagoner with business correspondence, contributes to the clinics websites and manages accounts receivable for the offices. If a client has a question about billing or charges on their account, Sarah is the one to speak to. She works closely with the business manager to make sure everything behind the scenes is running smoothly.
Casey Wagoner is our business manager. She is responsible for all the business aspects of running two busy veterinary clinics. This includes maintaining professional and business insurance, ensuring state and federal licensure for our doctors, processing office payroll and administering employee benefit programs. She works with the rest of the management team to keep our day to day operations running smoothly, including balancing reception cash drawers, preparing bank deposits and monthly bank reconciliation. She manages the clinics’ web pages and social media sites and is working hard to implement programs to improve communication between clients and staff, doctors and staff and management and staff.
Mary Koslowski is our technician manager. With in the hospital she works as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She works closely with the other Licensed Techs, veterinary assistants and the doctors on a daily basis, making sure we are moving smoothly through our day of surgeries, treatments and appointments. Mary is responsible for hospital scheduling. She makes sure the clinics are fully staffed with receptionists, technicians, assistants and veterinarians. She assists the business manager with hiring, interviewing and completes each employee’s annual performance review. She is involved in planning and implementing clinic special events, and works closely with our clinic coordinators to encourage staff participation and to get the word out to clients for a great turnout.
Lynn Roylance is our office manager and the newest member of the management team. Just promoted in January of 2016, we are still working on defining her duties. One of her main responsibilities will be the training of our veterinary assistants. Lynn always leads by example and is a very self motivated individual. This makes her the perfect choice to be a trainer. She works closely with the newly hired assistants to make sure they follow correct hospital protocols; helping them develop competency in clinic procedures regarding lab wok, during appointments and in the treatment area. She is working closely with the other members of the management team and the receptionist trainer to develop jobs descriptions and training manuals for all positions with in the hospital. We hope to have her take on additional duties with regards to staff management, scheduling and day to day operations moving forward.
