Free tickets are still available at our Boght Clinic, just go in ask for them and we can give 2 per person.
Gates open at 6pm!  We hope to see everyone there for a fun filled night of baseball with man’s best friend.

Now Offering Mobile Veterinary Services

Are you short on time?  Do you think your dog would be more comfortable being treated in his own home?  Does your cat disappear under the bed when you get the carrier out to bring her to the office?  If you answered yes to any of these questions then we have news for you!

The Boght & Oakwood Veterinary Clinics are excited to be offering mobile veterinary services to our clients and their pets. We’re starting out small, but hope to continue to grow this new offering to our list of services.

Dr Nicole Cox will be scheduling house calls for routine exams and vaccinations on Tuesday afternoons and evenings. She is also able to come to your home to preform humane euthanasia.  Since this is such a difficult decision to make, she will do her best to accommodate your schedule for this service.

If you haven’t met Dr Cox, find out more about her on the staff page of our website.
Less stress for you and less stress for you pets is a win for everyone.  Please call our either office if you would like more information about scheduling a house call with Dr Cox.

It’s Fall Time Ya’ll

It’s Fall Time Ya’ll

IMG_0030The Boght Veterinary Clinic will host their third annual Fall Festival on Saturday October 18th.  Our clinic coordinators, working together with the management team have lots of plans for the event.
Between the hours of 10am and 3 pm there will be games and give-a-ways, pumpkin painting and fall goodies to eat.  The staff is especially excited about the Jack-O-Lantern bouncy bounce.
We will be offering craft items, snacks and baked goods for sale.  All sale items will be made or donated by our employees and all proceeds will go to help our team raise money for the American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” campaign.
There will pets up for adoption, pony cart rides and demonstrations by our physical rehabilitation staff.  Bring you dog or cat in costume and we can snap their picture to be entered in our Fall Foto Contest.
During the afternoon you can tour the hospital and our boarding kennel for a behind-the-scenes look at where your pets are cared for and meet the doctors on staff.
There will be lots of treats and a few tricks!  Please join us for a fun filled day!

Lend a Paw, Save a Bra

Lend a Paw, Save a Bra

Front Shirt DesignOur clinic is once again participating in the American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walk in Albany’s Washington Park on Sunday October 19th.
In anticipation of the event our employees are doing individual fundraising and encouraging our clients to make a donation when they are in the clinics for appointments.
Our clinic team has set a fundraising goal and will be weekly prizes for the employee with the most donations in each week of the campaign and a grand prize to the employee raising the most money to be awarded after the walk.
There are a variety of ways to support our fundraising efforts. We will have items for sale at The Boght Veterinary Clinic’s Fall Festival on Saturday October 18th including craft items, snacks and bake goods, with all the proceeds going to the team and helping us to reach our goal.  You can find us on Facebook and follow the link (no bucket of ice water required!). Or visit the campaign website at http://main.acsevents.org/goto/boghtandoakwoodvetclinics to make a team or individual donation.
We are proud to once again support the “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” fundraiser  and hope you will consider making a donation to this great cause.

Cleo

Cleo

CleoMeet Cleo! She was surrendered to us when her owner could not longer care for her. Unfortunately, Cleo has a history of urinary issues and has been surrendered twice. She does well when she is not stressed, so we feel that she would be best suited as the only pet in the house. She is a very sweet cat and wants nothing more than someone to love and a place to call home. Cleo needs someone that understands her needs and is willing to be patient with her. Due to the difficulty in placing her, her adoption fee will be greatly reduced. She has tested negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDs, is up to date on her vaccinations, and has been spayed. She is currently being housed at Boght Veterinary Clinic. Feel free to call the office at (518) 785-0718 with any questions about her.
