The Boght and Oakwood Veterinary Clinics have a long history of taking in unwanted, stray and rescued pets and offering them for adoption to our clients.
In order to expand on this practice we have designed a new, spacious Adoption Center at our Oakwood Clinic. Currently under construction, we expect the center to be open in the spring of 2014.
Our office manager Alexis, and practice owner Dr Wagoner worked together to design the space which will house both dogs and cats that are up for adoption. Duncan & Cahill Inc. of Troy began construction in December of 2013 and did a excellent job bringing their vision to life. Fashioned to look like a pet store, we have large front windows for easy viewing of the animals for adoption and we hope to have the rest of the facade painted to resemble a city street lined with shops.
Our technician manager Mary and part time technician Sydney will be managing the space and handling the adoption process as they do now. It’s exciting to be expanding our services and adding this dedicated space for those pets needing a forever home. Check out the adoptions page of the website to find out about the animals we currently have up for adoption and watch this space for the announcement of the grand opening of the adoption center.
